The all-new ŠKODA Enyaq iV has electrified the judges at the Parkers New Car Awards 2022, and surged to the top of the pack taking home the grand title of overall Car of the Year.
This year’s awards saw fierce competition from an incredible 63 shortlisted vehicles across cars, vans and pick-ups. The judges singled-out the Enyaq iV as a fantastic family car, and named it their Best Large Electric Car winner thanks to its extensive electric range that will suit most lifestyles, its luxurious interior and its comfortable drive.
So impressed by the Enyaq iV’s prowess, the expert judging panel went on to unanimously vote for the brand’s fully electric SUV to be named overall Car of the Year 2022.
“The ŠKODA Enyaq iV is a gamechanger.” Said Keith Adams, Editor of Parkers. “Here’s an electric car that offers all the advantages and few of the traditional drawbacks of a plug-in car, wrapped in a stylish package with a luxurious interior with ample room for five.
“Most families will find a version of the Enyaq iV that’s good for them. From the entry-level 60 model that squeaks in under the £35,000 cut-off for the government Plug-in Grant, to the long-range 80, with its claimed range of 331 miles – or more than 250 on the motorway – the choice is vast. And that’s before you consider all the interior and personalisation options. The exceptional comfort and near-silent cruising are the icing on the cake of this quite brilliant family car.”
As befits a car that is starting a bold new era in ŠKODA design and engineering, the Enyaq iV introduces a new range structure based around battery sizes. Customers can choose between two battery pack sizes; 62kWh and 82kW and then opt for one of six interior design selections before personalising their car from a comprehensive range of equipment packs and individual options.
