Q. Who is eligible to join the Motability Scheme?
A. To join the Motability Scheme, you must be in receipt of one of the following allowances:
Q. Will I own the car at the end of the lease?
A: No, as you are on a leasing scheme, ownership of the vehicle remains with Motability Operations. At the end of your agreement you will have three options:
Q: What do I need to bring with me when I place an order?
A: When it comes to placing an order, you will need to bring:
Q: Will you take my car as part exchange?
A: It is possible for a new customer starting a lease with Motability to trade-in a vehicle. This must be discussed and arranged with your Furrows Motability Specialist. Trading in your privately owned car does offer you the convenience of being able to keep your current car until your new Motability car is ready for collection, as well as removing the hassle of trying to sell your car privately.
Q: Can I get help towards the Advance Payment and adaptations if required?
A: Motability, as a national charity, may be able to provide financial help, otherwise known as a ‘grant’, to Scheme customers who would otherwise struggle to afford the mobility solution they need. This help includes grants towards Advance Payments for cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, driving lessons and adaptations.
Motability means-test all applications and any help given can only be towards the most affordable solution to help you cope with your mobility needs. This means that if you are successful in your application, you will not necessarily receive help towards your preferred solution if a better value alternative is available on the Scheme.
Q:Is servicing covered as part of the scheme?
A: Yes, servicing is covered as part of the Motability Scheme, and it doesn't end there. Your insurance is also included, as well as breakdown assistance and replacement tyres.
