Enhanced 2024MY Enyaq delivers faster charging, more equipment and more range

Škoda is introducing a significant package of engineering, design and specification enhancements for the 2024 model year Enyaq. Thanks to the updates, Škoda’s multi-award-winning all-electric SUV is set to deliver more performance, faster charging, higher equipment levels and a longer range – further reinforcing its reputation as one of the best all-rounders in its sector.

To reflect the significant enhancements made across the line-up, the new Enyaq comes with a revised naming structure. While the entry-level Enyaq 60 remains unchanged, the Enyaq 80 becomes the Enyaq 85 with the all-wheel drive 80x updated to 85x.

Thanks to a raft of refinements to the Enyaq’s battery and energy management software, every Enyaq model in the 2024 model year line-up delivers a longer driving range. The entry level Enyaq 60, equipped with a 58 kWh (net) battery now has a WLTP combined range figure of 249 miles (a three mile increase). The 85, 85x and vRS models retain the 77kWh battery but offer increased ranges. The largest increase is seen on the Enyaq Coupé vRS, which receives a 16 mile range boost and a new WLTP range figure of up to 340 miles.

In addition to the range improvements, Škoda is also significantly increasing the power output of most models in the updated line-up. While the Enyaq 60 retains the same 179 PS motor as before, 85 and 85x models now generate 286 PS as standard. This represents an 82 PS increase over the previous 80 model and a 21 PS increase over the previous Enyaq 80x. As a result of the power increases, the new Enyaq 85 accelerates from 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds (-1.8 seconds) while the 85x performs the same test in 6.6 seconds (-0.2 seconds). Top speed for both model rises to 111 mph – an increase of 12 mph.

Another major power increase has been reserved for the sporting flagship vRS model which receives a 41 PS power boost. Equipped with dual motors, the vRS now has a total output of 340 PS, and can sprint from 0-62mph in just 5.5 seconds – a 1.0 second improvement. These updates make the Enyaq vRS the fastest accelerating production Škoda ever made.

New 85x and vRS models also come with faster DC rapid charging capability. Thanks to a speed boost of 40 kW, both all-wheel drive models can charge at a maximum of 175 kW when connected to a suitable rapid DC charge point. As a result of the speed increase, both models can charge from 10-80% in approximately 29 minutes – a seven minute improvement.

Other technical improvements include further refinements to the infotainment and display system. Reflecting the brand’s recently introduced new corporate identity, a number of screens have been redesigned to be easier to use and deliver more information (all models except Enyaq 60). New icons deliver a smoother navigation through the various screens while both the charging and climate displays have been reworked to be clearer and simpler to operate on the move. The navigation and assistance graphics have also been redesigned to deliver clearer and easier to follow mapping and directions.

The digital cockpit display (located behind the steering wheel) and optional head-up display have also been reworked to make them clearer and more intuitive. New graphics and animations have been introduced to make them easier to read while driving.

To further enhance the Enyaq’s value for money proposition, Škoda will introduce two new models to the range: the Enyaq 60 Edition and Enyaq 85 Edition. Improvements to the battery come as standard and the new trims offer exceptional value with an enhanced specification for only a £1,615 premium over the previous model. Features now include keyless entry and start / stop, Adaptive Cruise Control, Full LED matrix headlights, Tri-zone climate control and Electric boot with Virtual pedal. Edition models also come with heated front seats, heated multi-function steering wheel with regen paddles and electric driver’s seat with memory function. The Enyaq 60 Edition is priced from £40,585 OTR, while the Enyaq 85 Edition is available from £44,540 OTR.

All-wheel drive is now offered as standard on the SportLine Plus trim, at no premium over the previous rear-wheel drive model, from £48,605 OTR.

Standard equipment levels have also been boosted on other models in the new Enyaq range with every trim grade gaining more features. The entry-level Enyaq 60 now comes with Driver alert, Speed assist and Traffic sign recognition as standard while the SportLine Plus and Edition now includes Walk away locking, rear side airbags and Speed assist as part of the standard specification. The range-topping vRS gains even more equipment including rear window blinds, electronic child locks, rear USB-C charging ports, rear side airbags, tow bar prep and Travel assist.

Škoda has made ordering an Enyaq even easier. Sporty trims in the SportLine and vRS range offer 4X4 as standard for customers looking for an all-wheel drive model, while the 60 and 85 models are two-wheel drive. When it comes to option packages, customers are able to select either Advanced or Maxx when ordering their vehicle.
