MET Technician – Shrewsbury

Position:

MET Technician required for Automotive Vehicle Accident Repair Centre with an eye for detail and passion for quality to join our team.

Typical duties of a MET Technician include:

  • Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicles in line with BS10125 & Manufacturers
  • Dismantling vehicles to allow for repairs and rebuilding after paintwork
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Trim and body work on allocated Jobs
  • Panel replacement and Re-alignment to manufacturer gapping and specification
  • Vehicle diagnostics, fault clearing and fault finding
  • Removing, refitting radiators and air conditioning repair and Re-gas
  • Suspension components replacement, repairs and wheel alignment
  • ADAS calibration (training will be provided)
  • Tyre fitting
  • Road testing vehicle after repairs
  • To identify additional repair work and liaise with the VDA

About you:

  • Communicate effectively with other team members
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience or fully qualified MET Technician or to NVQ Level 3
  • ATA qualification would be beneficial

Hours of work:Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, 40 hours per week
