George Evans Cycling Update

Since we last shared an update on George Evans he has had a very busy cycling season so far!

George has been doing a combination of road racing and time trials for the first half of this season. He has had some success including a win at the first round of the National Time Trial Series at Buxton.

He placed 12th in a road race at the Tour of the Mining Valleys and 6th at the Brenig Road Race.

At the end of April he spent 2 weeks in the South of France training, with his coach Matt Bottrill, other riders and Tim Don, the world Ironman record holder. This set him up nicely for the Tour of Cambridge time trial where he placed 2nd in his age group and 3rd overall, the Brenig road race where he placed 6th and a win at the Mid Shropshire Wheelers 10 mile time trial.

George is currently focusing on his biggest target of the year, which is the HSBC British Championship. This takes place on 28th June. George will be aiming for a result in the Under 23 time trial, and also looking to gain some valuable experience in the road race.

Good Luck George from all at Furrows!
