New EVs for major Ironbridge project

Furrows Transit Centre have recently supplied and delivered two new electric Ford vans to Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust (IGMT), who are ready to start their major new project – ‘Conserving the Historic Estate’.

Thanks to funding from the National Heritage Memorial Fund, IGMT have secured £5.4 million to undertake conservation repair work over three years.

A new in-house operations team has been recruited to undertake routine maintenance tasks and will start work at Blists Hill this month. This team will be driving between the museum sites in the electric vans as part of IGMT’s commitment to improving sustainability and reducing its impact on the environment.

Lucy Oldnall, Project Manager – Conserving the Historic Estate said ‘The vans have been very popular with the new team who are thrilled to be able to drive these fantastic vehicles.'

Hayley Jay, Local Business Specialist at Furrows Group ‘The Ford E-Transit is the perfect vehicle for this project. I am delighted that we were chosen to supply these vehicles to Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, and wish them well with their conservation work’
