Shropshire motorists got behind the wheel for a good cause on Friday 15th May, with every test drive generating a £30 donation from Furrows Ford.
Shrewsbury, Shropshire - Furrows Group hosted their Ford Drive for your Community test drive event on Friday 15th May at Love2Stay, Salop Leisure, inviting local motorists to get behind the wheel of a new Ford vehicle in support of Severn Hospice.
For every test drive taken on the day, Furrows Ford donated £30 to the charity. Visitors were able to try a range of Ford models, both car and commercial, including electric and hybrid options. As a ‘thank-you’ from Furrows Group, customers were treated to complimentary coffee and cake at the Love2Stay café following their test drive.
The event formed part of Furrows' ongoing partnership with both Severn Hospice and Salop Leisure, and reflects the dealership group's continued commitment to supporting causes that matter to the local community.
Customers were able to book a test drive in their preferred vehicle prior to the event, or turn up on the day. In total, 77 test drives took place on the day, resulting in a £2,310 donation from Furrows Ford to Severn Hospice.
Severn Hospice gives specialist care and support free of charge to families across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and Mid Wales who are living with an incurable illness. Holly Gibbons, from Severn Hospice, attended the event to highlight the vital work that Severn Hospice does for the community.
Dan Foskett, Group Sales Manager at Furrows Group said: "Events like this are a brilliant way to bring the community together while supporting a charity that means so much to so many families in the region. We are really pleased with the number of people who turned up and took a test drive on the day, and in doing so, helped Severn Hospice continue its vital work."
