Is the Ford Puma Gen-E good for families?
We think the Ford Puma Gen-E is great for families! With 523 litres of boot space including an extra compartment underneath the boot - the GigaBox - a waterproof compartment with a built in drain - perfect for storing and washing off muddy boots after Shropshire walks! There's lots of storage throughout the car - perfect for storing wet wipes, water bottles, snacks and all the extras needed for tiny humans!
Can I charge the Ford Puma Gen-E at home in Shropshire?
Absolutely! With Ford's Power Promise, you get a home charger and cable installed, so you're ready to charge at home.
What is the range of the Ford Puma Gen-E?
The WLTP tested range is up to 259 miles. Your range will depend on how you drive the car. There are four drive modes and using Eco Mode helps you to deliver the 259 miles of range. As an example, if you commuted Telford to Shrewsbury every day, you're likely to only need to charge once a week.
How long does the Puma Gen-E take to charge?
The Puma Gen-E can charge from 10-80% in 26 minutes, using a 100kW fast charger typically found at motorway services. Many of our customers choose to charge their Gen-E overnight at their homes in Shropshire. By scheduling this through an app, you can optimise Off Peak Tariffs, when electricity is at it's cheapest (for example the Intelligent Octopus Go Tariff boasts 8p kWh overnight off peak window). To charge from 0-100% overnight this way, it would take approximately 6 hours.
How much does it cost to charge the Puma Gen-E?
Using the overnight off peak tariff above, charging the Puma Gen-E from 0-100% would cost approximately £3.50. To cover the same amount of miles (259) in a Puma petrol, this would cost approximately £41 (average petrol cost - 153.2p per litre - June 2026), saving up to £37.50 each time you charge.
