MET Technician - Telford

Furrows Group is a privately-owned, family run business serving motorists in Shropshire and surrounding areas since 1918. We are a multi-franchise dealership with 3 sites based in Telford, Shrewsbury and Oswestry offering Ford, Mazda, Kia and Skoda.

MET Technician required for Automotive Vehicle Accident Repair Centre with an eye for detail and passion for quality to join our team due to increased work volumes, from old and new work providers.

You will also need a professional, flexible and efficient approach to your work with particular attention to all relevant Health and Safety requirements whilst working within the BS10125 standards.

Typical duties of a MET Technician include:

• Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicles in line with BS10125 & Manufacturers
• Dismantling vehicles to allow for repairs and rebuilding after paintwork
• Mechanical, Electrical, Trim and body work on allocated Jobs
• Panel replacement and Re-alignment to manufacturer gapping and specification
• Vehicle diagnostics, fault clearing and fault finding
• Removing, refitting radiators and air conditioning repair and Re-gas
• Suspension components replacement, repairs and wheel alignment
• ADAS calibration (training will be provided)
• Tyre fitting
• Road testing vehicle after repairs
• To identify additional repair work and liaise with the VDA
• Communicating effectively with other team members
• Minimum 5 years’ experience or fully qualified MET Technician or to NVQ Level 3
• ATA qualification would be beneficial
