Shropshire motor dealership Furrows has once again demonstrated its longstanding commitment to the community by handing over the keys to a brand-new support vehicle for the Hospital at Home team at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital.
This year marks an impressive 24 years of support from the Haybridge Road-based dealership, which has been a consistent and valued partner in helping children receive essential medical care in the comfort of their own homes.
The Hospital at Home initiative allows young patients who require ongoing treatment following hospital discharge to be cared for at home. This approach significantly reduces the need for repeat hospital visits, helping to ease the burden on families during what is often a challenging time.
Isha Alsadek, Sales Manager at Furrows Group, expressed pride in the dealership’s long-term partnership with the scheme.
“The Hospital at Home programme is a truly meaningful service that makes a real difference to children and their families,” she said. “Over the years, we’ve heard firsthand from hospital staff how this support helps reduce stress and anxiety for families facing serious health challenges. We’re honoured to be a small part of that.”
Carol Drake, from the Princess Royal Hospital’s Hospital at Home team, visited Furrows’ Telford showroom to collect the new Kia Picanto.
“We’re incredibly grateful for Furrows’ generosity and unwavering support over the past 24 years,” she said. “Thanks to their ongoing commitment, we've been able to bring vital care to countless children across Telford, right where they need it most — at home.
“It’s inspiring to see a local business remain so dedicated to the well-being of our community. After nearly a quarter of a century working together, Furrows continues to be a valued and trusted partner.”
