It's a family affair at Furrows Group

L-R: Molly, Sophie, Jessica, Emily and Charlotte Banks

Furrows Group now have a full set of Banks siblings after employing Sophie, in the Sales Administration department, who is the last sister to join the company.

Charlotte, 27, started working for Furrows between 2007 and 2008, as a part-time Saturday receptionist. She joined the company again in January 2013, initially in a split role between Reception and Sales Administration, before taking up a full-time role in the Sales Admin team when a vacancy became available. Charlotte also assisted the Marketing department helping to run the Furrows Group social media accounts and update the company website. In September 2017, the Furrows Marketing team had a slight restructure and Charlotte was offered a full-time position in the Marketing team based at the Shrewsbury dealership.

Emily, 25, joined the company in 2008 working at weekends on Reception and providing cover when needed throughout the week. In 2010 Emily joined the Accident Repair Centre in a full-time co-ordinator role, which sees her dealing with all administration aspects of vehicle repair work; taking calls, booking in repairs and providing customers and insurance companies with repair updates to name a few of her daily tasks. Emily has been employed by Furrows for a total of 10 years making her the sister with the longest continual service.

Jessica, 22, started working for Furrows as a part-time receptionist in 2010. In 2014, she started to work in Sales Admin alongside her Reception role, before being offered a full-time position in Sales Admin in 2016. Jess initially focused on used sales administration, gaining knowledge and expertise in all areas of the job role. She is now broadening her sales admin knowledge by learning all aspects of Kia sales administration.

Molly, 19, has been working as an Accounts Apprentice since August 2017, in a role which gives her the opportunity to take on her AAT qualification (Association of Accounting Technicians) followed by her CIMA qualification (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) all while gaining experience in the Accounts department in areas including sales ledger, purchase ledger and banking.

Sophie, 21, is the final sister to join Furrows Group, as a Sales Administration Assistant. She will work closely with each member of the Sales Admin team to build a vast and concise knowledge of the Sales Admin process from start to finish, making her a fully rounded Sales Administrator once all training is complete.

Joint Managing Director, Dave Farthing said ‘It really is great that we have all five sisters now working for us in various departments across two of our dealerships. It’s a fantastic testament to Furrows that not just one sister but all five have chosen to work for us. The girls are all enthusiastic, hard-working individuals, a great asset to the company and a credit to their parents’

Now the big question on everyone’s lips is ‘What do you call a group of Banks sisters?’ Suggestions on a postcard!
