Accident Repair Centre Car Valeter/Polisher- Shrewsbury

Furrows Group is a privately-owned, family run business serving motorists in Shropshire and surrounding areas since 1918. We are a multi-franchise dealership with 3 sites based in Telford, Shrewsbury and Oswestry offering Ford, Kia and Skoda.

A vacancy has arisen for a full time ARC Car Valeter/Polisher based at our Shrewsbury dealership.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

· Valet/detail vehicles inside & out to good standard

· Flatting & polishing freshly painted vehicles

· Good housekeeping (All general waste is disposed of in the areas or receptacles provided).

· Ensure health & safety procedures and all company policies are adhered to

· Maintain the workspace i.e. sweeping the floor after each job, clean tools & equipment

· Deliver and collect customers & company vehicles to and from customer addresses

· Advise estimators or reception staff of customers’ needs and requests

· Record courtesy car condition on each collection and discuss any issues with customers

· Complete courtesy car forms appropriately making sure they are timed and dated

· Park vehicles in an orderly fashion and in the correct locations

· Ensure BS10125 standards are adhered to at all times

· Carry out other duties as and when requested

Person Specification

· A driving licence valid in the UK with C1 category (a drivers CPC is desirable)

· A good understanding of vehicles

· Experience of cleaning vehicles to a high standard

· Good customer service and communication skills

· Organised, calm and with good attention to detail

· Experience of machine polishing

· Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

· Good time management

· A positive work ethic and ability to be responsive to a flexible workload
