Step-by-step guide to ordering your Motability vehicle from Furrows Mazda

Ordering your vehicle couldn't be any easier, and at Furrows Mazda we have a team of Motability Specialists who are on hand to help if you have any questions.

To help ensure ordering your new motability vehicle is as smooth as possible we've included a step-by-step guide below, which includes details of any documentation you need to supply us and at what stage.

1. Before you visit us

​​If you are awarded the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of PiP or the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance you may be eligible to join the Motability Scheme. If this is the case, Furrows Ford can offer you a wide range of award-winning vehicles that you lease through the scheme.​

2. When you visit

You will need to bring with you a copy of the award notice, address confirmation (gas or electric bill) and driving licenses for those that will be nominated to drive.

3. Choose your vehicle

When choosing a new vehicle, there is a lot to consider, including cost, suitability and fuel consumption. We know that everybody is different so to make it easier to find a vehicle that meets your needs we have a team of highly trained specialists whose job it is to find you that special new car.

4. Vehicle suitability

We understand that some customers require specialist aids to help them so we have a long-standing relationship with several Motability Adaption Centres that can customise our vehicles to suit your needs.

5. Ordering your vehicle

Once you have decided which vehicle is right for you, your Motability specialist will complete your order with you using our simple online system that is done within our relaxed showroom. Motability will then send you an acceptance letter containing your Personal Identification Number (keep this safe as you need it to collect your vehicle).

6. Get your vehicle

While you’re making your final decision we will take a look at the delivery times. We may have to wait for certain cars while others we will have in stock and you can be driving it in a matter of days.

7. Help and support

We have chosen the very best people to work for us which means you are in the best possible hands. If you have any questions about your car or the scheme feel free to call your Motability Specialist or pop in for a cup of coffee and a chat.

8. No need to worry

As part of the Motability Scheme you will receive a Servicing and Maintenance from Furrows Ford so you don't need to worry about the well-being of your new car. If things do go wrong, you will be helped by the RAC to keep you moving on your journey. All of this is included in the Motability package at no extra cost to you.
