New Car Sales Manager – Kia and Ford

A very rare opportunity has arisen to join the leading Shropshire motor retailer as part of their management team.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager at our soon-to-be re-developed state-of-the-art showroom in Shrewsbury servicing both the fantastic Ford and Kia brands, the role will be to lead and support the New Car Sales team. You will use your sales management experience to lead the team in providing a high-quality service to our customers while delivering exceptional results in this role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the leading automotive group in Shropshire, managing a proven very successful department in our group, reporting to the senior management team.

The site is responsible for the sale of New Ford and Kia vehicles, 2 brands with exceptional future potential including the launch the several exciting new models over the next 12 months

Key responsibilities:

• Managing Sales Executives and the New Car department, driving operational excellence and best practices, and utilising performance measures to help drive success

  • Motivating and coaching the sales team to achieve weekly sales targets on vehicles, finance and accessory products.
  • Creating a sales floor and culture that is energetic, engaging and enjoyable
  • Growing and improving your sales team through performance reviews, personal planning, and regular one to one training
  • Emphasising the importance of professionalism and in-depth product knowledge
  • Leading the team by example - Liaising with customers, both in person and over the phone/email, and handling customer complaints in a timely and effective, manner consistent with the Furrows group ethos
  • Exceeding Manufacturers sales targets
  • Exceeding internal budgets
  • Increasing dealership and online sales by promoting vehicles and services
  • Maintaining high customer satisfaction index scores
  • Maintaining a large stock of quality used vehicles, valuing, buying and disposals of stock, and operating to a strict stock rotation plan
