A Shropshire motor dealership has introduced new late-night opening hours in a bid to fit in with the modern-day demands of busy customers.

The sales department at Furrows of Shrewsbury, which sells Ford, Kia, and Mazda brands from its Harlescott Lane site, is staying open until 8pm on weekdays throughout the summer.
Keith Pyatt, the dealership sales manager, said: “Life today is so hectic it is hard to fit everything in, so our sales team came up with the idea of staying open on weekdays until 8pm to assist our customers.
“This should be particularly useful with the September new registration rush upon us.”
Mr Pyatt, who took over as sales manager in February 2009, said his team were encouraged to come forward with ideas they thought could benefit customers.
“Furrows has been in business for almost 100 years, and we encourage our sales staff to be not only proud of working for a company with such a great reputation, but to enjoy it too.”
Furrows Group is a privately-owned, family-run business which also has sites in Telford and Oswestry.
A former Shropshire Business Award winner, it provides extremely high levels of customer service and servicing of new and used cars, as well as MOT and accident repair services.
