Shropshire County Show is a big success for Furrows

Motor dealership Furrows made successful return to the West Mid Showground on Saturday for the Shropshire County Show.
The firm's exhibition area, located near the main entrance, was "inundated" throughout the day, with official figures showing a 5,000 rise in show visitors after the change to a one-day format.
Furrows brought along models and information from across its range of franchises, including Ford, Mazda, KIA, Skoda and Great Wall.
It was the first time the dealership had exhibited at the showground in a number of years - and for Local Business Manager Tony Mellish, the event was a huge success.
He said: "The queues were stretching outside the main gate well before it opened and the position of our exhibition meant people came to us first.
"It is fair to say that we were inundated throughout the day, and people were especially interested in the new KIA Cee'd which was only launched a few days ago. Every Furrows staff member who was at the event now has a lot of work to do, arranging follow-up visits and test drives.
"The new format for the show definitely worked and it was great to see so many people interested in the Furrows brand."
The Furrows exhibition also featured a display of photographs and material from past shows, when the firm also sold tractors.
Some of the photographs dated back to the 1950s, and proved to be a further draw for visitors.
"We had the display at the front of our patch for most of the day and people were really interested," Tony added.
"Furrows' history dates back almost 100 years and a lot of the visitors were fascinated by the adverts and photographs we had on display. They are a piece of our history that we are glad to share."
