Keeping track of customer deliveries

A Shropshire motor dealer has turned to a local security company for help when it comes to protecting its vehicle fleet.

Furrows is working with Bulldog Security Products from Much Wenlock, and the motor dealer has invested in a batch of GPS vehicle trackers which will now be fitted to its parts delivery vehicles.

Group Security Manager Neil Preece said: “The trackers will be installed so that we will know exactly where our parts delivery vehicles are at all times – this will help us to redirect our drivers if necessary at any time during their working day, so that we can provide a quick and efficient service for all our customers.

“By tracking each delivery vehicle while it’s on the road, staff at head office will be able to assess how best to deploy the fleet and direct them to the next customer straight away, rather than drivers having to return to our Telford base.

“Obviously the trackers will help in terms of security of the vehicles too, which is another benefit, and we’re extremely grateful to the team at Bulldog Security for their invaluable advice in helping us to choose the products that suit our particular needs so well.”

Bulldog Security Products was launched in 1984 and the company takes a pro-active approach to innovation. Managing Director Ian Jordan said: “We’re very pleased to be working with Furrows and after listening to their requirements, it was clear that the GPS trackers would be the right choice for them. We’re proud to say that we manufacture products at our own premises in Much Wenlock and source everything else in the UK.

“Working alongside another local company is a great opportunity for us to showcase our skills and to help Furrows continue to develop their already high quality customer service even further.”

Bulldog Security Products span a wide range of industries including leisure, commercial, domestic, equestrian, the motor industry, and caravans and motorhomes.
